What is the CELTA?
The Cambridge English Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults – CELTA – provides the initial training needed for new teachers to enter the EFL industry and essential for experienced teachers who wish to build on their existing skills.
The course is highly regarded by employers around the world as it provides a strong basis from which you can continue to develop into a highly effective teacher of English. In many parts of the world companies might not consider applicants who have not passed the CELTA qualification.
Previous English language teaching experience is not necessary to attend this course.

Teaching Practice and Observation
Teaching practice is an integral part of the course and takes place every day. It is related to the areas covered in the input sessions. Trainees work in groups of six with small classes of students to get experience of teaching at different levels (beginners to advanced). Lessons are discussed by TP groups and tutors after TP.
Trainees also observe at least 8 hours of lessons given by qualified teachers. Additional time is required for lesson preparation and written assignments. As the course is full-time and very intensive it is impossible to have any other commitments during the period of the course. Trainees will find they have to work in the evenings and at weekends.

Course Requirements
Applicants for the course should have an awareness of language and a competence in English, both written and spoken, that enables them to follow the course and complete the assignments. They should have a standard of education that would allow them entry to Higher Education in their country. Candidates must be 20 years old at the start of the course.

Course Application
To apply for the course, you need to fill out the Application Form and complete the Pre-Course Task. Both of them are available in one document titled CELTA Application Form (new application forms will be available shortly!).
Visa regulations:
For 90 days citizens of EU, the USA, Canada and the UK are free to come without a visa for Ukraine (but not from Australia). We are not authorised to provide our candidates with any kind of visa support
